Bounce produced the video elements of the project including a five-part training course and a series of mini documentary films.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here is the trailer for the series:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Introducing Living in Love and Faith\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g7A3wt0jqZM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The series trailer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Filming the mini documentaries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the many highlights of the project was meeting and filming the stories of the people that took part in the mini films.&nbsp; The Bounce team travelled the country from Scarborough and Durham to Manchester, Birmingham and Cambridge, spending a day filming each 5-minute video.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bouncevideo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2020-11-17-at-12.05.15-1024x573.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1586\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The story film participants<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The rich and diverse stories included a young trans man and his wife\u2019s story,&nbsp; a same-sex couple hoping to find acceptance, a young couple talking about their heterosexual marriage and an LGBTI man sharing his celibacy story.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as interviewing the participants, we wanted to show a broader picture of their lives by filming them doing a range of activities that were personal to them.&nbsp; This included everything from basketball and Scrabble to harp playing and sailing a catamaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-9-16 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Behind the scenes filming a sailing boat\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/480310575?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"422\" height=\"750\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Behind the scenes filming on the south coast<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The pandemic arrived mid filming schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our schedule of filming was complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic.\u00a0 Along with the rest of the country, we had to down tools during the first lockdown.\u00a0 This meant some stories were filmed before the pandemic and some were filmed after the first lockdown was lifted. This presented some challenges for continuity! Much of our filming of the second group had to be done outside and we had to work under a new strict covid 19 filming policy. We also had to put a disclaimer on the pre-pandemic videos to explain the lack of social distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bouncevideo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ff59c40b-1c66-495a-886f-34afc89bc50d-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1587\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A Covid-safe outdoor interview setup<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a privilege to be welcomed into people\u2019s lives and to be able to capture their stories on film on this important subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Filming the training course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the series we also filmed a five-part training course.\u00a0 Each 30-minute session explored a different topic relating to identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage. Our first challenge was to find the right presenters.\u00a0 We had over 100 applications but cast CBeebies presenter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itsjoanna.co.uk\/\">Joanna Adeyinka-Burford<\/a> and radio presenter, Robbie James, who fronted the series with warmth, charisma and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bouncevideo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Session-1-Learning-together-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Church of England LGBT\" class=\"wp-image-1588\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The presenters in Bristol<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We wanted the course to have a regional feel so came up with the idea of shooting each session in a different city\/town.&nbsp; These included Bristol, Brighton, York, Hathersage (Peak District) and Oxford.&nbsp; These outdoor locations also made our filming more Covid-safe although travelling to different locations without being able to share a car made our logistics challenging!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having spent the last 5 years mainly working in a small team of two, it was great to work with a larger team and it reminded me of my TV days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bouncevideo.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/c1e7469f-6d2d-4738-8f50-b46cd06856fc.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1590\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The crew <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>What\u2019s next for the Church of England on questions of identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Church of England plans to use these resources over the next year as a period of \u2018learning and engagement\u2019 before bringing a decision about the way to move forward on LGBTI matters to their church parliament in 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the course and the story films are available to watch on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofengland.org\/resources\/living-love-and-faith\/living-love-and-faith-learning-hub\">Living in Love and Faith learning hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">About Bounce Video<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bounce Video is run by award-winning former BBC Producer,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bouncevideo.co.uk\/about-us\/\">Grace Gibbons<\/a>.
