2025 highlights

Reflecting on 2025: storytelling innovation and impact

As we step into 2026, we are taking a moment to reflect on the year behind us and some of the video projects we are most proud of at Bounce Video. Across science, education, climate, space and social impact, one theme connected all our work in 2025: telling the human stories behind complex ideas and helping organisations communicate their purpose.

University College Oxford: a record-breaking giving day

A major highlight of the year was partnering with University College Oxford on their annual giving day campaign video. This project helped the college raise over £200,000 to support inclusive access, sports societies and creative opportunities.

Filming began with an early morning drone and river session on a misty autumn morning on the River Thames. We followed a women’s team rower who was trying out for the Boat Race team, despite having never rowed before coming to Oxford through a bursary. Other scenes included students exploring archives of signatures, including famous alumnus C.S. Lewis. The film concluded with a statement from Baroness Valerie Amos, the first Black female Master in Oxford, who has pioneered inclusive access to the college and the University as a whole.

Oxford Science Enterprises: showing the human side of investment

Our team produced a website rebrand series of seven videos with Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE), a billion-pound investment company finding the latest innovations from the University of Oxford in areas like medical AI, new medicines, the future of energy and quantum. The company is headed up by CEO Ed Bussey, who is also an ambassador for innovation and a member of the Oxford-Cambridge Supercluster board.

The brief for the videos was to show the human side of innovation and of an investment company. One of the films involved capturing behind-the-scenes interview footage of the team to show their personality, as well as the group’s spirit and passion for creating companies that solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

The European Space Agency: technology for humanity

We began an exciting collaboration with the European Space Agency on their Space Solutions programme, which provides equity funding to startups and scale ups using satellite technology for social and environmental good.  Filming took us across Europe, from Zurich and Glasgow to Paris, where we profiled a tech company using satellite data and machine learning to identify and mitigate methane emissions. This work is reducing the equivalent annual emissions of France and Germany combined.

Alongside live action films, we also produced a six part animated explainer series. We worked with our specialist animator to create a hand drawn visual style, paired with evocative sound design and voiceover by Sophie Dean.

The human side of quantum at Oxford Ionics

Oxford Ionics is a quantum computing company and Oxford University spinout that was recently acquired by US company IonQ in a record breaking $1bn deal.

The video was created to support talent recruitment and showcased the company’s new offices at Oxford Technology Park. Through conversational interviews and candid moments, the film helped demystify quantum computing and present Oxford Ionics as a place where brilliant minds can thrive.

Purpose led storytelling with the Churchill Fellowship

We continued our work with national charity the Churchill Fellowship, founded following the death of Sir Winston Churchill to fund overseas research and bring learning back to the UK for social good. Filming across Manchester, London and Edinburgh, one particularly memorable story followed a blacksmith who had faced significant financial barriers himself and now provides inclusive creative opportunities for young people. He uses this historic craft to open doors into the arts.

Looking forward: EIT Oxford

Towards the end of the year, we began working with the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford (EIT), a major new force in the global innovation landscape.

Founded by Larry Ellison, the institute is developing a multi billion pound science and innovation campus focused on tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges. These include human health and longevity, climate change and sustainability, food security, and artificial intelligence and computing.

These projects represent just a snapshot of a busy and productive 2025. Our focus remains on delivering high-quality visual storytelling that bridges the gap between technical innovation and real-world impact. We’re already underway with several new commissions for 2026 and look forward to partnering with more organisations to help them communicate their work with clarity and purpose.
